Interior Designer, Furniture Designer, Green Associate, MWS Design
A furniture designer evolved into Interior Design in California and in these design fields since 1996. But this is a second career - the first was Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis in the industrial and banking sectors. These jobs in Pittsburgh, Houston and Los Angeles were attained based on my Civil Engineering Degree - Lehigh University and MBA - Carnegie Mellon University.
1992 I began to take courses in art history, history of decorative art, furniture design, etc. and switching professions to an internationally known antique dealer which furthered my knowledge of art history, restoration and furniture design. My passion is to participate and help assemble a team of professional, contractors, architects and other design professionals to create unique and inspiring spaces and structures for residential and commercial customers. I endearvour to listen and communicate fully to collaborate with the customer, to manage expectations and ultimately the satisfaction of the customer. I have been working on Green Home projects without the accredidation - that is changing.
I am now a Green Associate. Currently obtaining Project Experience with BCCI Construction on the Interior of a commercial building in San Francisco. Interior Design - Water Efficiency on this project. I really enjoy creating beautiful, inspiring an, Green Interiors; this passion uses both sides of my brain and multi-persective experience.
Enjoy hiking, skiing, rowing, biking, swimming and strength training.
Specialties: Interior design, furniture and cabinet design and manufacture, furniture and wall finishes, upholstery techniques, colorist. Good eye for proportion. Able to work on remote projects (Miami, Hawaii, New York, Dubai).
