Talismark co-founder Marshall Staiman brings three decades of recycling and
solid waste experience to the company.
As President, Marshall has been instrumental in building the company.. Since 1999 he has devoted his attention to building company brand and revenue with a special attention on outstanding client service.
Staiman, having “grown up” in a family owned Scrap Metal and Paper
recycling business is a fourth generation environmental professional, with
specialized knowledge source reduction, manufacturing waste processing,
Material Recovery Facility operations as well as Materials Marketing.
After graduating College in New York City in 1985, Marshall joined
Staiman Industries, Inc. in Binghamton, NY to spearhead operations and grow
sales. Under his direction the business grew into a state of the art regional
processing facility with expanded services including plastic, glass and
municipal recycling services.
After the successful sale of the family business 1993 to industry giant
Laidlaw Environmental, Staiman joined Browning Ferris Industries in Maryland
and thereafter in South Florida as their Recycling consultant and Municipal
Bid coordinator. Staiman was responsible for sourcing tonnages into four
recycling facilities, and during his tenure each of the facilities
experienced significant increases in output and revenue. He also was
responsible for tracking of production accounting and leading two highly
successfull cross-functional goal driven “break-through” teams.
In 1999 Staiman took the position of Territory Manager at Waste Management,
Inc, where he was responsible for sales of waste and recycling services for
commercial businesses in over a dozen cities.
Marshall currently devotes his attention toward strategic business planning,
business development and sales management and environmental reporting.
