As the Director of LEED Support, Megan creates systems that help project teams successfully navigate the design, construction, and operation of buildings to achieve the requirements of LEED. Under Megan’s leadership, almost 200 project teams per week receive detailed, customized LEED project support, and response times have improved 55%. Prior to coming to the USGBC, Megan was a sustainable development consultant with Paladino & Company, shepherding numerous LEED-ND, LEED-CS, and LEED-CI projects through the certification process. She was a Founding Board Member of her local Congress of New Urbanism chapter, sat on the Steering Committee for the Seattle Branch of Cascadia Green Building Council, and was Co-Chair of the Seattle LEED User Group for several years. She developed the curriculum for the first green real estate program in the country at North Seattle Community College, and lectures there on both commercial and residential real estate. She has a Bachelor's in Environmental Science from Scripps College, two Masters from University of Pennsylvania (Landscape Architecture and City & Regional Planning), and an MBA from the University of Washington. She built her own 460 sq ft LEED-Platinum house and works from Seattle, Washington.
