Miranda is a sustainability expert, currently in Germany on a year-long fellowship from the Robert Bosch Stiftung, continuing to study German and expanding her sustainability expertise while sitting at the KfW Bankengruppe this Fall. She is researching topics such as corporate water footprinting and financing of energy efficient homes. With a passion for the environment and bringing people together to improve sustainable practices in our built world, she believes that caring for oneself resonates in one's ability to care for the greater good (she is also an avid runner and sport participant).
Over the next year, Miranda will be investigating environmental policies and planning practices, in an effort to influence global change culturally, economically and environmentally. Her transatlantic research topic will focus on 3 major factors - government's role, financial committments, and historical priorities. Utilizing case studies of cities, corporations, and government policies, she plans to outline the shortcomings and strategies for North American sustainability initiatives.
