Nick joined USGBC in April 2011 as the Education Review Specialist, a role which gave him experience working directly with volunteers, credential holders, and education providers. In his current role he has expanded his purview to include the entire credentialing program, including elements of the exam registration process, as well as CMP requirements and reporting processes for the LEED with Specialty, and Green Associate Credentials, and the LEED Fellow program. Nick focuses tirelessly to ensure that the credentialing programs support the wide variety of credential holders working
today, with special attention to the vast opportunities for professional development and continued learning in a developing industry.
Before coming to Washington, D.C. to join USGBC Nick lived in Peoria, IL where he wrote online articles as the Peoria Green Building Examiner, and worked as an Intern Architect for LZT Associates, and earned his LEED AP Credential. Before that he helped develop energy models of existing buildings on the campus of the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana, where he earned his Bachelors in Architectural Studies.
