As a sustainability professional, planner and biological consultant for over 11 years, Nicole specializes in integrated design strategies for single building and infrastructure scale projects. She is a LEED Accredited Professional, and has managed or provided senior level review for over 75 green building projects and has directed sustainability master plans locally and internationally. A systems thinker at heart, Nicole is a trained Biologist at the Design Table (BaDT) through the Biomimicry Guild and has worked with global corporations to seek new inspiration and solutions from natural models. She is the co-creator of the Biomimicry Oregon Network and currently serves on the Urban Land Institute Oregon Young Leaders Group Board and Portland Sustainability Institute EcoDistricts Steering Committee. Nicole is an accomplished public speaker, group facilitator, and presenter at conferences and workshops. She is a graduate from Oregon State University and Portland State University in Watershed Ecology and holds a Masters of Urban and Regional Planning.
