Rand Ekman assists design and construction projects, organizations and institutions with design assistance, building performance analysis, sustainable program management, LEED consulting, and environmental standards development.
His passion is stewarding projects toward high performance outcomes. Rand has
garnered awards from The Urban Land Institute, Financial Times, and the AIA.
Rand was a member of the USGBC Market Advisory Committee and the 2012
President of the AIA Chicago. Work with the AIA includes 2015 Chair of the AIA Committee on the Environment, assisting in developing the AIA 2030 Commitment's current reporting protocol and tool. An engaging public speaker, he has presented at local, regional and national conferences on sustainable project and practice topics. While Rand is involved with many high-performance projects, he is particularly interested in driving broad-based, measurable change in architectural project work and practice.
