Rebecca is an experienced project-based consultant with an architectural
background and a focus in high-performance design for both private and
public sustainable buildings. She has directly managed and overseen
over 100 sustainable building projects worldwide. Rebecca has also developed
and expanded a proprietary online tracking software for sustainability.
With the support of a Fulbright grant, Rebecca Schmidt earned her M.A. in
Architecture in Germany at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences (TH
Köln), focusing on energy-optimizing buildings. She earned her B.Arch at Carnegie
Mellon University with a minor in Business Management. During the 2007 Solar
Decathlon in Washington DC, a competition to construct the most attractive,
effective, and energy-efficient solar-powered house, Rebecca served as the
solar thermal specialist and financial manager for the Carnegie Mellon team.
