Sam Klein has been involved in residential construction and energy efficiency as a consultant for over 12 years. His career in sustainability began at Real Goods where he became immersed in renewable energy systems and alternative, natural building techniques. He went on to earn an MBA from Penn State University, where his thesis was a market segmentation analysis for residential renewable energy systems for a large energy company. For 2 years he served as the Regional Account Manager for the EPA’s ENERGY STAR® Labeled Homes program for the Midwest region. He worked for MaGrann Associates as their Green Program Manager in support of LEED for Homes, NAHB, ENERGY STAR, and regional green building initiatives. He currently works for Comfort Systems USA as their Director of Sustainability, where manages a LEED for Homes Providership.
