After 5 years at USGBC as Materials and Resources Subject Matter Expert Sarah has returned to her roots in architecture by joining the Building Enclosures division of WSP | Parsons Brinkerhoff working as an enclosure consultant performing enclosure commissioning, design consultation, forensic investigation, and historic building restoration. Sarah has her Bachelors of Architecture from Syracuse University and worked in the DC area in green affordable housing before joining the USGBC Certification team, eventually and becoming an expert in building materials. Sarah’s work at USGBC concentrated on development of new ideas and innovations in all LEED rating systems Materials and Resources category. She recently completed her Masters degree in Sustainable Design at The Catholic University of America where she is concentrating her studies on building material reuse and Life Cycle Assessment. She is originally from Boulder, Colorado and has maintained a lifelong passion for both architecture and the natural environment.
