Shane Nault

President Shane Nault is a leader in the commercial building sector, having
twice been honored as a rising contributor to the industry. He is one of the
select few named in two “Forty Under 40” tributes, first in 2013 by the
Charlotte Business Journal and again in 2014 by Building Design and
Construction Management Magazine. He currently serves on the board of the
North Carolina Chapter of the U.S Green Building Council.

Mr. Nault was principal-in-charge for a mid-sized mechanical engineering firm
in Virginia before advancing as its director of project management. Realizing
that there was a disconnect on how buildings were designed, installed and
operated, Mr. Nault transitioned his career path towards commissioning. He
now oversees all of the administrative, marketing and technical functions for
Building EnergetiCx. With a keen eye for talent, Mr. Nault is responsible for
resourcing the Building EnergetiCx teams organized for each project,
maintaining an extensive network of trusted, highly-qualified partners to
scale up services for clients when their needs exceed staff capacity.

Mr. Nault holds a bachelor’s of science in architectural engineering
technology from Vermont Technical College and a master’s degree in
engineering management from Old Dominion University. He is a licensed
professional engineer in North Carolina, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Georgia,
a certified energy manager (CEM), and a certified commissioning professional
(CCP). Mr. Nault is also a LEED accredited professional with a specialty in
Building Design and Construction (LEED AP BD+C) as established by the U.S.
Green Building Council.
