Steve Mann, owner of Home Energy Services, is headquartered in Berkeley, CA.
He has been involved in the construction business for more than 20 years. His
specialty as a builder is extremely energy-efficient residential gut
renovations and small additions. His focus is assisting architects,
contractors, developers, real estate professionals, and homeowners with
sustainable design and construction practices, and improving the energy
efficiency of existing homes.
Steve's credentials include LEED AP+ Homes, Certified Green Building Professional,
Certified Energy Analyst, LEED for Homes Rater, Green Point Rater, HERS
Rater, PHIUS+ Rater, BPI-certified Building and Multifamily Analyst, Energy Star 3.0
Rater, and Certified Passive House Consultant/
Steve has participated in multiple subject matter expert groups for GBCI, the
LEED credentialing authority. He is also a Home Energy magazine contributing
editor, former Treasurer and Board member of Habitat for Humanity San Luis
Obispo County, and Board Chair of the California Association of Building
Energy Consultants.
