Owner, Principle, sylvatica studio landscape architecture and ecological planning
With 20 years of experience in landscape architecture and ecological planning, founding Principal Susan Stainback brings expertise and inspired leadership to complex landscape and environmental projects. Susan is lead designer and planner for Sylvatica, working in collaboration with client groups and professional associates. Her work is known for substantially benefiting natural and social environments in Parks, urban gardens, riparian environments, and in the Coastal Plain.
A Graduate of University of Georgia’s School of Environmental Design and Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design, Susan brings an in depth approach to site and ecosystem analysis, high design and detailed implementation. Susan is a licensed Landscape Architect in Georgia and is active in a number of professional and community organizations, including the American Society of Landscape Architects; South Fork Conservancy Board; Ansley Park Beautification Foundation Board; S.P.A.C.E., Saving Places in Atlanta’s Community Environment; Society for Ecological Restoration and the Longleaf Alliance.
