Vassiliki Kouvaki is a registered architect in Greece, with specialization in
environmental design in buildings and sustainability.
Vassiliki, after finishing the American High School of Thessaloniki,
Anatolia, studied for her architecture diploma in the School of Architecture
of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, and later on earned her
MPhil degree in Environmental Design in Architecture at the University of
Her work experience ranged from architectural design with Michael Hopkins and
Partners, to environmental design consulting with Atelier Ten Consulting
Engineers and design and contract management with AKTOR S.A.
She is an expert in environmental design, applying carefully framed analysis
to inform architectural, engineering and construction decisions in the
pursuit of sustainable buildings and masterplans, certified as a LEED
Accredited Professional by the US Green Building Council.
She has worked as a design coordinator within multi-disciplinary design teams
to inspire and integrate design ideas and strategies across specialisms
within the project time and budget frame. She has participated in multiple
projects from all design, environmental consulting and contractor’s point
of view ranging from individual buildings to districts and neighbourhoods, on
behalf of a range of international clients including Ivy League universities,
major cultural institutions and multi-national companies.
