Virginia Hewitt assists with multi-disciplinary policy research and reporting on actions at the local and state levels. She also assists with local technical assistance across ACEEE. Her authorship includes "Engaging Small to Mid-Sized Lenders in the Market for Energy Efficiency Loans," "Cool Policies for Cool Cities," and The Second Edition of the City Energy Efficiency Scorecard. She joined ACEEE in 2013. Prior to joining ACEEE, Virginia worked at David Gardiner and Associates as a climate policy intern in Washington, D.C. While at David Gardiner and Associates she focused specifically on research and federal and state lobbying for the implementation of combined heat and power (CHP) and other industrial energy efficiency measures. Virginia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science and Policy from Duke University.
