VENSI is an enterprise that provides medical services and equipment to private and public sectors in Mexico. With the company’s growth, the need of new corporative offices surged and so the project began. VENSI was built in the ninth floor of an existing building of commercial offices. It has a total area of 7047.99 square feet, in which the sales offices of medical equipment is located. The design of the project began in 2011, with the goal of creating an efficient design that would reduce the impact to the environment.
VENSI is located in the Samara Shops building, in an area of Santa Fe which is both residential and commercial on the outskirts of Mexico City. This developing zone has a high population density, for which a lot of services and residences are being built.
The Samara Shops is a mall with several stores and other businesses: a gym, cinema, restaurants, food court, bars, and boutiques. It is closely located to a residential and a commercial zone, achieving great community connectivity.
Water and energy savings are crucial in the high populated Mexico City. The company’s concern for the overall wellbeing of society resulted in VENSI seeing the opportunity to benchmark their sustainability for new projects in the area. The project serves as an example for the clients that visit the showroom and for other tenants in the building.
To achieve this, VENSI employed strategies such as community sustainability, installation of water efficient fixtures, hiring a commissioning agent, and a high efficiency level was established.
