61 Last certified on: Feb 13, 2017

WTorre, one of the largest business conglomerates in the country, teamed up with sustainability consulting CTE to pursue a LEED C&S Silver certification for WTorre Morumbi, a commercial building located around the Berrini region in São Paulo, Brazil.

In a 22,548.40 square meter site, the project has 33 floors for tenant offices and five underground floors. The WTorre Morumbi building was conceived with the objective of being an architectural landmark and an example of sustainability in São Paulo. Following the precepts of LEED certification, several strategies were incorporated into the building, aiming to optimize natural resources during and after construction. Among them, the most outstanding results are more than 40 percent of water economy, and 10 percent of energy economy.
