Does this reference guide contain all the information required for passing the LEED AP O+M exam?

Is there a print protection or limitation for pdf version of the reference guide?

Thank you for your interest in the LEED Reference Guide for Building Design and Construction. The PDF reference guides are downloadable and printable. There are some printing limitations to other publications like the Core Concepts Guide. More information can be found here:

Not to ask an obvious question, but......will the web-based reference guide provide all of the information I would need to pass the Green Associate and AP exams? Thanks!

Hello, Ethan! I had access to the web-based service and it has all the information (and already updated with the addenda) of all the guides AND extra access to online training. If you feel confortable studying almost 700 pages on your computer, I believe that's the best choice. However, as it is for me, I prefer to read on paper to study, so I bought the PDF version and printed it.

The web-based version DOES NOT offer the option to print all the credits or resources and you have to keep on selecting each section of the credit that you want to read (introduction, examples, IDs, and so on). I didn't like this routine to study for my LEED AP, but some people don't mind all the trouble.

And with the web-based version there is the option to view all the guides, which won't happen if you buy the PDF version of a single guide.

I do suggest that you access some training system like Green Building Education Services (, which has special content and questions with answers just like the official test + acquire the USGBC green associate and guide books.

Hope it helps!
