Hi, is the web-based reference guide a substitute for the "traditional reference guide" or I should purchase both? thanks.

Membership, Credentialing, and Education Specialist, U.S. Green Building Council

Hello Haizea, The web-based reference guide is a substitute for the hard copy. You can purchase one or the other (either electronic or hard copy). I hope that helps!

Architect and Urban Planner, |Frida Design Lab|

Thank you very much for your quick response.

Thank you for your interest in earning the LEED AP Neighborhood Development! You may download the LEED ND “Reference guide introductory and overview sections” by clicking “DOWNLOAD FOR FREE” above. The LEED AP ND Candidate Handbook represents current policies and procedures for a LEED v4 ND professional credentialing exam. Includes test specifications which hopefully helps with your studying. A similar section should be available for each free exam reference listed in the candidate handbook: http://www.usgbc.org/resources/leed-v4-ap-nd-candidate-handbook.

It says that this guide is on back order until 10/01/2015, which was last week, but the button to "purchase" still has it listed as back ordered. When will this guide be available to purchase?

Is it possible to pass the credential exam without purchasing the reference guide? The home page stated that exam preparation materials were free.

When will a LEED ND v4 Study guide be available?

., .

Thank you for your interest in earning the LEED AP Neighborhood Development credential. In lieu of a study guide for LEED v4, we have a number of resources available through our website. I would recommend taking the following steps:
1. Study and learn from the list of references here: http://www.usgbc.org/resources/leed-v4-ap-nd-candidate-handbook.
2. Consider reviewing some of the free practice questions in these articles: 1. http://www.usgbc.org/articles/sneak-peak-sample-questions-leed-v4-credential-exams and 2. http://www.usgbc.org/articles/prepare-your-leed-ap-nd-exam
3. Visit the credit library (www.usgbc.org/credits) and check out many examples of projects (www.usgbc.org/projects).
4. Check out this free video introduction to LEED v4 here: http://www.usgbc.org/articles/free-course-introduction-leed-v4.
5. Review some of the major changes, accomplishments, and language for LEED v4: http://www.usgbc.org/articles/get-know-leed-v4-leed-v4-user-guide.
6. Finally, you may also find other exam preparation options online or through Education @USGBC here: http://www.usgbc.org/education.
Good luck!
