Local Climate Leaders Circle profiles

Nine mayors and two council members are taking part in the international climate talks, called COP21, in Paris. This group, the Local Climate Leaders Circle, includes mayors of Atlanta, Boulder, Chula Vista, Des Moines, Grand Rapids, Oakland, Pittsburgh, Salt Lake City, and West Palm Beach, and councilmembers from Santa Monica and King County, WA. The cities represented are all signatories to the Compact of Mayors, under which cities conduct greenhouse gas emission inventories, develop climate action plans and report on their progress. To spotlight the range of actions that local governments can take to make a difference, new Local Climate Leaders Circle Profiles are being released. Each city’s briefs identifies its current emissions and other parameters and the city’s commitment to emission reductions. In addition, each brief discusses achievements to date and action plans to reach their targets.

Having lived in Atlanta for (now living in TN) fifteen years, still having family there and considering a move back, I am WELL aware of the need for both climate control and USAGE as it pertains to harnessing it's POWER for GOOD and conservation.
Well done piece here. Reach out anytime if you need help. I have contacts throughout the state of GA. And, I even started my own renewable energy company, American Energy Independence, years ago, right before 2008. The rest is history.
Cheers, Joseph...
