Complete the Minimum Energy Performance Calculator for LEED v4 BD+C and LEED v4 ID+C EA Prerequisite Minimum Energy Performance Option 1 AND LEED v4 BD+C and ID+C EA Credit Optimize Energy Performance Option 1. This calculator contains required checks on energy model inputs, based upon ASHRAE 90.1 Appendix G, as well as summary output totals. Use the summary tab in the calculator to complete the form in LEED Online. v02 calculator published 01/07/2016 v02 calculator updated on 03/07/2016 due to opening error updated 9/13/2016 Changes:
  • Added group certification functionality.
  • Added the LEED for Homes Midrise rating system.

  • Revised and enhanced the Quality Control checks. Provided additional summary information.
  • Added functionality for water heating flow reduction documentation
  • Added information regarding schedules.
  • Added the option for SI or IP units.
  • Corrected multiple bugs.
    • Enabled appropriate number of lines for editing Lighting and Equipment Power Density.
    • Corrected the LEED Data Center Summary output fields to calculate correctly.
    • Revised all editable cells to allow editing.
9/13/2016 updates: • Baseline System Helpful Notes Section has been updated in the Water-Side HVAC tab • District energy system (DES) Path 3 calculations have been revised • Optional notes column has been added to each tab for project teams to provide further clarification • Exceptional calculation formulas have been revised • Performance upgrade to the General Information tab has been implemented • Baseline case fan power formulas have been updated • Lighting table language has been updated (v2009) • Exterior lighting quality assurance (QA) checks have been updated • Further guidance has been provided for determining unitary cooling efficiency in the Helpful Notes section of the Air-Side HVAC tab • Performance Outputs tab formulas have been revised to be more robust for multiple building projects • Summary tab formulas have been revised to reference total cost savings with and without renewable energy contribution • Receptacle Equipment Modeling Method tables have been revised to be more robust for multiple building projects
