USGBC Committee-Working Group Code of Conduct
|Published on||12 Jul 2011|
|Effective on||1 Jan 2012|
This Code of Conduct (the “Code”) is a set of principles to govern the conduct of the members of any committee, panel, task force, working group or other subset of individuals organized by the U.S. Green Building Council (“USGBC”) for the purpose of making a decision, ruling or recommendation (collectively, a “Decision Making Body”). USGBC expects members of a Decision Making Body to abide by this Code and other relevant USGBC policies. By serving as a member of a Decision Making Body, members assume responsibility for leadership, thoughtful judgment, and advancement of USGBC programs and activities.
Membership on a Decision Making Body imposes the duty to serve as a fiduciary for the organization, including promoting USGBC’s effectiveness in carrying out its Mission and goals. Maintaining the standard set forth in this Code is critical to the credibility and function of the USGBC. Accordingly, all members of a Decision Making Body shall comply with this Code of Conduct at all times.
