Water Use Reduction Additional Guidance, version 9, Updated 10/17/2016

The guidance has been updated to align with the October 2016 addenda, specifically changes to LEED Interpretations 1551, 1576, 10012, 10211, 10212, 10276, and 10284. The use of existing campus or municipally treated wastewater and seawater is allowed in WEc3: Water Use Reduction (BD+C), WEc1: Water Use Reduction (ID+C), and WEc2: Additional Indoor Plumbing Fixture and Fitting Efficiency (O+M). The prerequisite, WEp1: Water Use Reduction, must be achieved through fixture and fitting efficiency measures employed on the project. Future campus or municipal wastewater reuse infrastructure, that will be functional within 2 years of project occupancy, can contribute in the applicable water efficiency credits.
