USGBC® Trademarks Policy
Why are trademark policies important?
The USGBC Trademark Policy is designed to give guidance on the authorized use and depiction of USGBC trademarks and service marks by our members. The policy highlights common uses and misuses of USGBC marks and language. Through consistent application of the guidelines, USGBC’s image and credibility is reinforced, there-by increasing the value of USGBC, its products and services, and your standing as a USGBC member.
USGBC expects all users of its trademarks and service marks to adhere to these guidelines. However, the guidelines are not all-inclusive. If you have questions regarding the logo use and language, or the appropriate use of USGBC trademarks or service marks, please contact the USGBC Marketing Department.
All trademark inquiries should be sent to the USGBC Marketing Department. When contacting them regarding logo usage, please provide the following details.
- What trademark(s) is/are being requested?
- What is the intended use of the mark?
- Where exactly will the mark be placed? Brochure? Ad? Construction sign? Website?
- What text will accompany placement of the mark?
- Is your company a USGBC member?
