USGBC New Mexico is a local nonprofit with a mission to transform our built environment through education, collaboration and outreach that promotes environmentally responsible practices that are economically and socially beneficial to the community.

Started in 2002, this will be our 14th year bringing green to New Mexico. To celebrate we have embarked on a new mission because we believe that New Mexico will be the healthiest and most sustainable state in our nation. Currently, our biggest effort to reach this goal is our Green Steps for Green Schools program, an environmental education and action initiative created by the USGBC New Mexico that launched in 2014. The program will recognize schools in New Mexico who take annual sustainable steps toward becoming more environmentally responsible.
