Each year, USGBC’s growing member community influences the future of our movement by volunteering to serve on our Board of Directors and participating in a dynamic election.
On behalf of the Nominating Working Group, I am truly excited to announce the following 17-candidate election slate for the six open seats on the 2014 Board of Directors.
State and Local Government Agency Employee
Jodi Smits Anderson, Dormitory Authority of the State of New York
Zaida Basora, City of Dallas
Dan Burgoyne, State of California, Department of General Services
The election will be open from Oct. 1-30, and I encourage you to get to know the candidates by visiting their usgbc.org profiles (to access profiles, click on the names above).
USGBC’s policy of proportional voting enables every full-time employee of a USGBC member organization in good standing to vote. USGBC’s Bylaws require that a minimum of 10% of USGBC member organizations participate in the election, so while the election is open until Oct. 30, the best time to vote is now.
Thank you to everyone who submitted a self-nomination and for all you do to support USGBC’s mission every day. The evaluation process was very competitive this year, and I would like to extend my congratulations to all candidates!
