Volunteer to mentor a project team in using Arc for their community building.

The USGBC Northern California community offers a Green Building Mentor Program that challenges community buildings across the San Francisco Bay Area to make strides toward greater sustainability. Learn more about the mentoring program.

Each participating community building is matched with a volunteer mentor in the green building industry to facilitate impactful building-wide sustainability tracking and improvements. Learn more about the volunteer position.

It is the volunteer mentor’s role to walk the building through using the Arc platform. This will include gathering and benchmarking the building’s performance information and identifying opportunities for incremental improvements. The program’s aim is to ultimately lower energy and maintenance costs, conserve natural resources, promote environmental literacy and improve the indoor environment for building occupants. The mentor will collaborate with and guide building staff and occupants, taking a leadership role in following up with project members and keeping project deadlines on track for completion.
