Attend the Greenbuild Celebration to hear the seven-time Grammy winner.

The annual Greenbuild Celebration has always been an exciting event for Greenbuild attendees, featuring the best talent in music in an evening of fun and mingling with colleagues, while toasting a successful year’s work in the green building industry. Greenbuild 2018, themed "Human x Nature," is being held November 14–16 at McCormick Place in Chicago.

In 2018, USGBC is fortunate enough to host seven-time Grammy Award winner and blues legend Buddy Guy. Guy will perform at the celebration at the LEED certified Field Museum, from 7 to 11 p.m. on Thurs., November 15.

At age 81, Buddy Guy is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, a major influence on rock titans like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughan, a pioneer of Chicago’s fabled West Side sound and a living link to the city’s halcyon days of electric blues.

His many awards include seven Grammys, a 2015 Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award, 37 Blues Music Awards (the most any artist has received), the Billboard Magazine Century Award for distinguished artistic achievement, a Kennedy Center Honor and the Presidential National Medal of Arts. Rolling Stone Magazine included him in its list of "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time."

The Greenbuild Celebration, sponsored by Kohler, is included in the purchase price of a four-day conference pass, three-day conference pass and Thursday day pass. You can also purchase a ticket for the celebration separately, for $100. Register for Greenbuild by September 13 to take advantage of early bird rates.
