Newly certified projects in the news: 

San Francisco 49ers' Levi's Stadium awarded LEED Gold status, Sports Illustrated. It’s the first new construction NFL stadium to achieve LEED Gold. The 49ers join the Bears, the Eagles and the Ravens as the only NFL teams to play in LEED-certified stadiums.

Transwestern goes green with new HQ, Houston Chronicle. USGBC Platinum-level member Transwestern renovated 58,000 square feet of interior space for a LEED Silver certification.

Newly opened U.S. embassies earn pace-setting LEED certifications, FMLink. The embassy in Helsinki, Finland, is the first LEED Platinum certification for an overseas U.S. diplomatic facility, and the LEED Gold embassy in Burundi is the first LEED project in that country.

Maker of Silk Soy Milk Earns LEED Certification for Dallas Beverage Plant, EHS Today. WhiteWave Foods has reduced its greenhouse gas emissions by 32 percent since 2006 on a per-gallon basis.

HID Global Receives LEED Platinum Certification for Its New World Headquarters and North American Operation Center in Austin, Commercial Property Executive. HID Global, a unit of USGBC Platinum-level member ASSA ABLOY, has the first LEED Platinum certification for an industrial manufacturing facility in Texas.
