Publicly recognizing superlative contributions can change the perception of an entire industry. GBCI has helped catalyze a global sustainability movement by recognizing excellence with the world's leading certifications for green projects and professionals. GBCI’s most prestigious credential is the LEED Fellow.
Share expertise and advance green building
The LEED Fellow is the highest recognition achievable for a LEED professional in the green building, design, engineering and development industries. Each year, GBCI receives applications from a diverse and global applicant pool.
The designation is awarded to those who have demonstrated exceptional achievement in the key mastery elements of LEED, have a history of impactful leadership and contribute significantly to green building. View the 2018 class of fellows.
Nominate a LEED AP for the fellowship
To date, over 250 leaders have been recognized as LEED Fellows. However, for a LEED AP to be considered as a LEED Fellow, they must first be nominated.
You know great people—encourage them to step up and make a difference as a LEED Fellow. For both seasoned experts and rising stars, receiving the LEED Fellow designation recognizes outstanding accomplishments and marks a career high point.
The 2019 LEED Fellow application window is from Feb. 5 to March 29, so act quickly to engage qualified green professionals in your network.
Among other requirements, nominees must demonstrate 10 years of exceptional, results-oriented contributions to LEED, and nominators must have at least 10 years of professional green building experience.
However, you don’t have to meet these requirements to encourage a potential nominee or nominator to get involved. If you know someone you think should be a LEED Fellow or could function as a nominator, share this article with them.
