The Advanced RTU Campaign recognizes efforts made by commercial building owners who have updated their rooftop unit air-conditioning systems.

Applications are open to submit your organization for the Advanced RTU Campaign's annual awards. This campaign encourages commercial building owners and operators to replace their old rooftop unit air-conditioning systems (RTUs) with more efficient units or to retrofit their RTUs with advanced controls to improve energy efficiency.

Many organizations that pursue LEED certification, such as Whole Foods, Wal-Mart, Target, Adidas, Arby's and Southern California Edison, have been recognized by these awards.

The Advanced RTU Campaign, co-organized by the Better Buildings Alliance (U.S. Department of Energy), Retail Industry Leaders Association, and ASHRAE, is designed to accelerate the adoption of new proven RTU technologies. The annual Advanced RTU Campaign awards recognize actions by organizations to improve their RTU efficiency over the past year. See the list of 2016 and 2015 award winners.

The deadline to submit your application is Friday, Feb. 3, 2017. Twelve award categories are available for participants and supporters of the Advanced RTU Campaign to submit applications. In 2017, the awards will be presented at the PRSM National Conference in Dallas, Texas, on Wed., April 19.

If you have any questions, please contact the Advanced RTU Campaign.
