The September 20 event for the South Atlantic will focus on the footprint of the hospitality industry.

The third annual Sustainable Hospitality Summit will be held in Orlando, Florida, on September 20 at the LEED Gold Grand Bohemian Hotel. Hosted by USGBC Florida, the event convenes industry experts who will focus on the sustainable footprint of the hospitality industry: resilient design strategies, reducing carbon emissions and waste, curating wellness experiences, crafting healthy communities and prioritizing human capital.

This year, attendees will explore the implications of shifting guest expectations around health, wellness and corporate social responsibility. How is the hospitality industry positively impacting individuals, carefully considering resilience and transitioning to a holistic experience?

Our regional experts will discuss

  • Gender inclusion and equality during the Women in Green Power Breakfast.
  • Resilient design in the wake of climate risks.
  • Capturing corporate social responsibility through sustainable storytelling.
  • Innovative case studies from top sector leaders, featuring examples from design and construction, operations and maintenance, interior design and construction and human experience.

The keynote speaker for this event, the Title Sponsor of which is EXP, will be announced in summer 2019. In 2018, Katarina Tesarova, Vice President of Global Sustainability for Las Vegas Sands Corp., headlined the summit at The Dewberry Charleston in South Carolina, highlighting global trends in hospitality.
