Submit a project or individual for consideration by March 30.

The USGBC Virginia community is committed to transforming the way buildings are designed, constructed and operated in the Commonwealth, creating better places to live, learn, work and play.

Over the past year, the local Market Leadership Advisory Boards for the USGBC Hampton Roads and USGBC Greater Virginia communities have worked together to unite as a single, statewide community. Our USGBC Virginia volunteer leadership team serves members, partners and green building advocates across the state—look for our updated web and social media presence in early March.

Leadership Awards for the Virginia community

USGBC Virginia is excited to celebrate this transition with the relaunch of a Leadership Awards program celebrating Virginia building owners, designers and construction professionals who have achieved LEED certification. LEED-certified spaces use less energy and water, save money for families, businesses and taxpayers, reduce carbon emissions and create a healthier environment for occupants and the community at large. Virginia is proud to be one of the largest users per capita of LEED in the U.S.

Applications are now open for the 2018 USGBC Virginia Leadership Awards. You must apply by March 30, 2018. Projects should be located within the USGBC Virginia territory to be eligible. Contact Cindy Zork with questions.

Register to attend the awards ceremony. USGBC community members receive an early bird discount until April 3, 2018.
