Today, we are excited to welcome two USGBC chapters as integrated regions of USGBC National. Welcome to Wisconsin and Iowa! (In June we welcomed Georgia, Montana, Idaho, New Mexico, South Carolina, Central Pennsylvania and Oklahoma, and in April we welcomed the USGBC National Capital Region).

This transition comes as part of our exciting chapter network evolution, which is piloting a new model for USGBC chapters and local market engagement. This will provide an exciting opportunity for our local USGBC regions to enhance their operations and focus on the mission-work that really matters.

“On behalf of all of us at USGBC National, I extend our warmest welcome to the Wisconsin and Iowa chapters as their staff becomes an official part of our family,” said Rick Fedrizzi, USGBC CEO and founding chairman. “This is the first step in more fully integrating our network of passionate and committed local and regional entities into our national organization so we can better support the work they do on the ground every day to advance green building."
