Minimum energy performance

EAp2 | Required

Establish the minimum level of energy efficiency for the tenant space systems.

Design portions of the building as covered by the tenant’s scope of work to comply with ASHRAE/IESNA Standard 90.1-2004 or the local energy code, whichever is more stringent.

California Title 24 2005 has been deemed to be more stringent than ASHRAE 90.1-2004 for LEED purposes. No demonstration of equivalency is required for project teams implementing Title 24 2005. However, the use of California Title 24 is only valid for projects located in California.
