This course is taught in Bangla. Glass is used abundantly in building construction. All-glass buildings are a common scenario in most parts of the world. Its impact on daylighting and heat ingress is significant. It is important to achieve a balance between heat and light gain. This can be done by selecting the right kind of glass in addition to using shading devices and being aware of the window wall ratio used in the project.

This is a second course in the Daylighting series. The first course – Daylighting 101: Technical Terms can be found here.
