A one-hour session which will review energy investment strategies to achieve environmentally sensitive energy infrastructure alternations.

This session will review energy investment strategies, creative and timely approaches to achieving environmentally sensitive energy infrastructure alterations and a new website through which hospital CFOs and others in the sector can share successes, learn from one another, and create a forum for bringing the environmental, financial and social aspects of energy alterations to the forefront of thinking in the fiscal operations of health care facilities. As an increasing number of hospitals plan for energy related projects, this session will clearly illustrate the many advantages to peer to peer communications and how hospitals can build on one another's successes through project visibility.


  1. Participants will learn how to develop both short and long term energy related objectives that are specific to their facilities.
  2. Participants will develop a broader understanding of how energy related projects can be funded.
  3. Participants will obtain a strong sense of the investment necessary to accomplish energy projects and how such investment can create ROI.
  4. Participants will be better able to understand the relationships developed between hospital CFOs and energy providers and how energy related investment can contribute to energy conservation.
