High I(A)Q Environments
This course deals exclusively with indoor air quality - factors that determine good indoor air vs. problematic indoor air, the effect of indoor air on the health of building occupants, and explores the specific health conditions that are impacted by indoor air quality.
This course is approved for GBCI CE hours, but is not available through Education @USGBC.

Objectives
- Identify 5 – 10 indoor and outdoor factors that influence indoor air quality (IAQ).
- Explain how climate change affects both outdoor and indoor air quality.
- Discuss the connection between chronic respiratory conditions, social (in)equity, and climate change.
- Outline how architects and designers can improve IAQ in built environments, including relevant green building certifications.
