Having to take a LEED® Green Associate exam can strike fear in the heart of even the most intrepid student, whether a seasoned green building professional or a lay person new to the world of sustainability. This course offers a practical guide to navigating the LEED® learning requirements, and introduces key strategies for success – how to study, what to study, and tips and tricks for acing it on test day. It builds confidence and test-taking skills in a stimulating and engaging way, and is open to participants of all levels, from complete novices to those with previous LEED® knowledge or project experience.
 
This course will be an overview of the LEED® Green Associate exam, including how to register for the exam and what to expect at the test center, including testing procedures. Candidates will learn how to best prepare for the exam, including a detailed overview of each study resource available, how to obtain it, its contents, and the order in which to study. The course will cover practice exam questions, and walk through the answers, including how to choose the best answer when in doubt. The instructor will reference real-life case studies as well as present scenario questions.

Please note the following change to the LEED Green Associate exam registration fees:

$200 – USGBC Members
$100 – Students
$250 – All Others

This course is registered for 1 AIA LU/HSW. To receive AIA LU/HSW credit for this course, take the quiz. Please ensure that your AIA number is included in your usgbc.org account. Once you have passed the quiz, you will have access to a PDF certificate of completion and your hours will be reported to AIA. Please note that since this course is aimed at preparing for a LEED exam, it is not eligible for GBCI continuing education hours.

  1. Successfully study for and take the LEED® v4 Green Associate exam with confidence.
  2. Be knowledgeable of requisite study resources needed to study for LEED® v4 Green Associate exam.
  3. Understand the core concepts that will be tested, including task and knowledge domains, and gain the ability to find these in the study resources.
  4. Discuss the LEED® registration process and project timelines.
  5. Focus final study and preparation efforts prior to sitting for a LEED® v4 Green Associate exam.
