About
Food labels, country-of-origin labels, organic – we are demanding more information about our food, personal care products, and now, our building materials. We want to know the ingredients that go into them and whether those ingredients present potential hazards. This course will introduce the concepts of disclosure and transparency as they apply to building products and discuss their value. Then, the course will describe tools for disclosure and transparency and how they can be used in projects, with focus on the Health Product Declaration. Finally, the course will explain how to determine whether an HPD meets LEED v4 Materials Ingredient credit requirements.
