USGBC has raised the bar with LEED v4 and subsequently knocked the building industry out of its comfort zone. How do we as an industry adapt and achieve the challenge set before us? In this presentation, we will walk through the changes in each credit category, preparing all disciplines for the new rating system. Following the overview, a diverse expert panel with LEED version 4 project experience will speak to their own successes and lessons learned. No matter where you fall in the building industry (architect, engineer, building owner, etc.) the tools you need to navigate the unknown of v4 are here!

  1. Identify the significant changes to credits, requirements and thresholds from LEED 2009 to LEED v4 BD+C
  2. Understand the adjusted goals of LEED v4 BD+C and how they apply to the new checklist breakdown and requirements
  3. Describe the way LEED v4 BD+C emphasizes the importance of an integrative process
  4. Learn possible pitfalls and strategies from those that have already worked on a LEED v4 project
