About

This page helps easily locate USGBC resources relevant to those who work in and work for K-12 schools. It complements the resources available through the Center for Green Schools at USGBC and curriculum from the Learning Lab online education platform for primary and secondary school teachers.

Our vision at the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is that buildings and communities will regenerate and sustain the health and vitality of all life within a generation. Our mission is to transform the way buildings and communities are designed, built and operated, enabling an environmentally and socially responsible, healthy, and prosperous environment that improves the quality of life.

At USGBC’s Center for Green Schools, we believe that all students should have the opportunity to attend schools that sustain the world they live in, enhance their health and well-being, and prepare them for 21st century careers. Our professional learning networks, educational resources, and industry-recognized tools bring sustainability to life in the classroom and encourage communities to work together toward a future that is healthier for people and the planet.
