Part of the Sinai Health System, Bridgepoint Active Healthcare encompasses a 680,000 sq.ft. state-of-the-art health facility and the 150-year old restored Don Jail. In this session, learn how Bridgepoint and PCL Constructors Canada Inc. partnered to build the hospital’s vision of a campus of wellness for patients living with complex health conditions through the collaborative expertise of healthcare professionals and the design-build team to deliver a purpose-built facility that has operationalized a new model of clinical care to support recovery, provide adequate treatment and therapy spaces for patients and families, and support workflow for clinical teams.

Objectives

  1. Understand the importance as to why their vision was to build a state-of-the-art wellness facility.
  2. Identify how collaborative working groups played a role in the design and development of the facility.
  3. List ways in which this new model of clinical care supports recovery.
  4. Understand the benefits provided to patient's and families.
