About

A 2012 NSF International study showed that vacuum toilets produce no detectable levels of bacteria on the toilet seat or area surrounding the toilet during a flush cycle. Under the same conditions, gravity toilets, if flushed with no cover, create a flush plume that leave bacteria on the toilet seat and surrounding area. These findings have become of particular interest in Healthcare, Commercial & Industrial markets. Not only do vacuum plumbing systems contribute to a cleaner environment, they are also water-saving.

This course will help you learn more about the benefits of vacuum plumbing systems in healthcare, commercial and industrial environments including contributions to sustainability and occupant health.

To complete this course, view the video above, read the supplemental material, and pass the quiz.
