Building on our success over the past 17 years, in 2018 USGBC Hawaii’s signature conference is going Big Island!

In partnership with the Hawaii State Energy Office we'll be bringing together site tours with local experts in the fields of high performance building design, water conservation and wastewater innovation, and net zero energy. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn about the most progressive buildings in our State through a two-day tour of high performing buildings in the Kona and Waimea areas.

This annual event unites all the key players in greening the built environment – including architects, engineers, planners, interior designers, LEED project managers, policy-makers, general contractors, subcontractors, trades, administrators, educators, and students – to discuss industry trends, view example projects and network with similar minds. Build + Buy Green is where you can find the strategies, lessons and connections to help create a more sustainable future.

Why attend

Taking place on September 21 to 22 on the Kona Coast, Build + Buy Green 2018 will feature inspiring building tours, speakers, ample networking opportunities, continuing education hours, and more.

The conference will focus on the lessons learned from existing green buildings via site tours and will provide insights and information on LEED, the performance-based platform Arc, and new programs like SITES for landscaping. Tours will cover topics ranging from net zero energy, resilience, water recycling, waste diversion, materials selection and more.

Continuing education — Build and Buy Green 2018 will be approved by GBCI and AIA for CEU credits.
