Recognized by numerous awards for its beautiful design, its sustainability practices, and the quality of its fan experience, Target Field is an interesting and engaging site in which to study LEED certification and sustainability efforts.

Target Field received LEED Silver certification in New Construction when it opened in 2010, becoming the highest-ranked ballpark to date in LEED credits earned. After a year of operation, study, planning, and assessment, Target Field applied for and received LEED-EB: O&M Silver certification, making it the only major league ballpark to have two LEED certifications.

This interactive program includes a walking tour and a classroom session highlighting sustainability features around the Twins ballpark, public education and outreach efforts with schools, and participation in the Green Sports Alliance.
