Join USGBC Indiana's Northwest Branch for an education workshop for municipalities staff. Come to the workshop to learn information about what makes a green home, today's current technologies and the drivers behind the green building movement.

This workshop is designed for municipal employees involved with construction, landscaping, codes, and inspection, or any other employees and municipal contractors who want to understand green building and the value of sustainability.

What you will learn

  1.  Understand green building and its value to business owners and the community.
  2. Learn what makes a building or home green.
  3. Minimize confusion and misunderstanding about green plans.
  4. Give your staff the tools to support and facilitate sustainable construction.
  5. Understand the strengths and limitations of the LEED green rating.
  6. Able to perceive the value of third-party verification
  7. Green concepts developed and tested as part of the USGBC LEED rating system.
  8. Cost comparisons with traditional buildings.
  9. Why most codes incorporate green concepts developed by the USGBC LEED
    rating system.
