Cutting Edge Sustainability, Meets 21st Century Workplace in DPR's Upcoming Reston Office

This GreenLearn will provide a first look at a future office space, while under construction. DPR Construction's new home promises to change how we think of commercial real estate in the DC region. The space is intended to serve as a living laboratory that will showcase technologies, products, and systems with robust educational programming both during and post construction. Key members of the collaborative design, owner, and construction team will share insights, process, and goals for this 20,000-square-foot tenant space.

Part meet & greet, part presentation and part tour, this dynamic event will highlight what it takes to strive for and incorporate:

It also will address using information and data to make smart decisions, this includes life cycle cost analysis, total cost analysis, individual design or construction payback studies, and the project teams' expertise in their respective fields.

Representatives from DPR Construction, Smithgroup JJR, Southland Industries, Sustainable Building Partners and additional special guests TBA will be on-hand to talk through their contributions to this one of a kind space.

Note: This is an active construction site. Closed toed shoes are required. No heels! Hard hats will be provided where necessary. Parking is free, and is widely available on site; however a shuttle, graciously provided by DPR, will also be setup to service the Weile Metro stop from 8-9 a.m., then again from 10-11 a.m.

USGBC National Capital Region would like to extend its thanks to the event's sponsors.
