Sponsored by Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation - Office of Energy Programs
Presented by Melissa Doughty, PE, LEED AP BD+C, Parksmart Advisor, and Civil-Structural Department Manager at Jacobs Engineering in Cincinnati, Ohio

Come learn about the theory and background behind Parksmart certification, the basic concepts of the standard, and practical implementation of the program.

Parksmart is the only rating system designed to advance sustainable mobility through smarter parking structure design and operation. Parksmart is a voluntary, consensus-driven standard that guides projects toward innovative, solutions-oriented strategies that benefit everyone from building owners and property managers, to tenants and drivers. Parksmart encourages thoughtful siting and design, best-in-class facility management practices, and innovative technologies.

The high-performance structures, technologies and practices of Parksmart certified garages reduce energy consumption, maximize performance, and minimize waste, and encourage biking, car sharing, carpooling and alternative fuel vehicles.

Continuing education hours — Self-reporting or certificates of attendance will be available at luncheon.

Cost — $20 members, $30 nonmembers, $15 Students and Emerging Professionals. Learn how you can join USGBC Tennessee today.

To encourage pre-registration through Eventbrite, an additional $5 fee will be added for anyone who needs to pay at the door. RSVP by Tuesday, June 20.
