Successful Energy Modeling for LEED Projects

This presentation will focus on energy modeling and its application to LEED v4 projects. We will focus on how energy modeling can be used to deliver successful LEED projects, including direct applications to LEED credits. We will also present lessons learned from applying energy modeling to LEED projects and navigating the LEED review process.

Speakers
Brian Turner, PE, LEED AP BD+C is an Associate Principal at Clark Nexsen. Brian has over 16 years of experience designing high performance buildings which are healthy to live and work in, cost effective to operate, and minimize environmental impacts. He is an ASHRAE Building Energy Modeling Professional and a Certified Energy Manager.

RJ Hartman, EIT, LEED Green Associate, is a Mechanical Engineer in Training at Clark Nexsen. RJ has over 3 years of experience in the design and analysis of sustainable buildings. He has provided energy modeling and credit documentation for several successful LEED project reviews. RJ is also President Elect of the ASHRAE Hampton Roads Chapter.
